Barry was born in Newark and he spent his entire life in The Garden State; indeed he is the band’s one and only “Jersey Boy”.  Barry has had a life-long passion for drumming.  His mother would recount how, as an infant, Barry would take her pots from the kitchen cupboard and bang away with her soup spoons.  His earliest inspiration came from watching Buddy Rich on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.  Then, four guys from Liverpool appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.  Seeing a mop-topped guy banging away on his Ludwigs with unrestrained joy was all it took to cement Barry’s passion for drumming.  Sixty years later, making music with his band mates and performing for audiences is one of his greatest pleasures in life.
